Very rough first character drafts for a short comic project germinating in my head.
Posts tagged sketches.
Sketchbook page. I had the sudden urge to draw Lara Pulver’s Adler.
Doodling favorite characters from Lawrence’s screenplay. I really like Bo’s pretty legs and stockings.
I think I may have finally found the moleskine for me. The watercolor paper is really nice.
I don’t know why he sticks in my consciousness so much, but I think Hans has now evolved past the context of Reeperbahn and beyond all proportion. On a related note, I really enjoy 1920s-30s S&M and boot fetish porn. Some day I’ll own some samples of the real deal and not just modern reprints.
It wasn’t meant to be, but he reminds me a bit of Sherlock (though the profile’s completely off). So maybe I’ll make it Sherlock?
If I don’t grow up to be at least half as metal as Dr. Watson, I will consider my life a failure.
Pointless sick day doodles of horny fauns with lines from Wilde poems. I’m still kind of floundering after two months of intense projects. It’s killing me that I can’t show them off yet!
Sketches of the Shanghainese mafia head I drew last week - I really like him. And a Chinese opera actor with and without make-up. I think the two are involved somehow, probably because the man basically owns the opera company through his patronage.
They need names.
Feeling a bit drained, so I took a break from illustrations and did some mindless doodling today. I really love the design of Moleskins and the way the paper takes pencil and pen, but ink and watercolor seem to be an entirely different story. It’s really bothering me… hate to waste a sketchbook just because it won’t take my colors well, ugh.
On the bright side, there is a tiny Vicky! She is possibly one of my most favorite characters to draw for her ridiculous fashion sense and hair size alone.
Also… glam rock Oberon? I don’t know.
Oops. I accidentally Hans again. Every time I draw him, he is more bruised. That’s sad.
Finished the sketch page today. Hans keeps sneaking into my drawings. I love him. Also, Greta Garbo.
A little detail of a sketch page I’ve been relaxing on today. Inspired by German torch songs and Christian Schad.
Doodle inspired by Arrow. I’ve had so little time to draw this week, urgh.
