Wanted to bring this back to motivate myself as I work on the last page of Gentleman’s Gentleman. You’d think I’d get sick of drawing porn after spending so much time on it. But you’d be wrong. Porn is pretty much all I want to draw right now.

I have been listening to Meow Meow’s new album on repeat for three days without stopping. After floundering without much inspiration, this was just the kick in the gut that I needed. It evokes so much - Wanda of Venus in Furs, Weimar dancing on the brink of its nervous breakdown, Berber’s eyes heavy with morphine, Marches Casati’s boudoir… I tried to capture some of it in a page of sketches - with only marginal success, of course, but you try to touch genius.
So, starting 2012 with porn on the blog. Yep.
