Weird crappy sketch for a weird crappy mood - Hans from Tom Waits’ “Reeperbahn” again. I can’t tell if I love it or hate it. I like the colors and the expression. The anatomy is bizarre even for me and I can’t even begin to tell what the fuck is up with that background. I’ll just tell myself I was channeling Otto Dix as consolation.

Urgh, I finally finished the first pin-up for the calendar I mentioned! I thought that a glistening representative of the 1920s-1930s proletariat was a good place to start. Yes? Yes. He is shining with manly sweat from hard toil and even harder leisure. Apparently they have excellent manscaping at his factory, too. I don’t even know. Happy Valentine’s!

John Doran, an ex-sergeant in the marines who was discharged for being gay before DADT was repealed. Shortly after, he was scooped up by the Family, who keep an eye on these matters, and became one of its most valuable and devoted recruits as an expert in explosives, hand-to-hand combat and sniping. He usually works as muscle and cover for the Family’s more violent operations (liberation of “gay cure” camps, raids on businesses that back conservative politicians, and extremist religious missionary groups), as well as solo hits. He is currently partnered with Daniel Gotarde, one of the highest ranking professional hackers in the Family’s fold.

L. and I have a dream project - a Coen brothers/Quentin Tarantinoesque cathartic and inexcusably violent blockbuster about the gay mafia called Bash Back! It would star people like Stephen Fry, Rupert Everett and Alan Cumming as mafia dons, Stephen Colbert and David Hyde Pierce as the conservative villains, and Buck Angel, Queen Latifa and Bailey Jay as mafia hit men and women. John Doran would be played by Michael Fassbender. Obviously.

Baritarian Boy pin-up.  

Queen Zsu Zsa, who although being a woman and identifying as such, was called King.  She was the first female monarch to assume full responsibilities of the King, successfully prevented two separate invasions, and when she married, her husband assumed the responsibilities (and officially, the title) of Queen.

There is no new page today, since we had a bit of a full and unpleasant week, but Lawrence just posted his gorgeous pin-up of Zsu-Zsa.

Next Monday I will post the last page of my chapter of the comic, after which Lawrence will take over drawing the next story. If you like Baritarian peasants, pre-WWII Baritaria and pretty English tourists - you will like the new chapter!

For gentlemen - the green carnation. For ladies - violets.

So far, I have mainly been posting my drawings and illustrations, and the comic collaboration with my husband, lawrencegullo. However, as The Royal Baritarian Players, we also perform - Victorian music hall, boylesque, puppetry, bawdy readings of Oscar Wilde in nothing but out underpants. We even staged an entire Victorian whorehouse at a major steampunk convention in May. So I think I’ll start posting images from our various performances now and again here. 

This one is a performance art piece drawing on The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Hirschfield’s Different From the Others, and German Expressionism, detailing the inner monologue of a homosexual locked up in an asylum for his “sensitive crimes.”

Unfortunately, I can’t give proper credit to the photographer because these were culled from the internet after the fact, but I will try to be good about it in general.
