cosmonautically asked: I've been browsing your art and it's positively ravishing! Have you ever drawn anything directly inspired by Death in Venice? I'd be curious to see how you'd interpret Tadzio or Aschenbach. Robin the Boy Wonder might also be interesting. (As a side note, I always get excited when I encounter people that have heard of Another Country! It's one of my favorites!)

My interpretation of Tadzio is pretty much exactly the same as Visconti’s, because his Death in Venice film is flawless.

Picnics are the only reason I get out of bed in the summer. We just scheduled our first Edwardian croquet picnic of the summer, and I can’t wait. These are pictures from the most successful picnic I have yet managed to host - last year’s Death in Venice ramble. 

I miss this lady and her lovely husband so much it hurts, and makes me absolutely loathe this country for not letting me go.
