I was going through some old stuff and found these. Excited because I’m planning to get back into fan painting.

My Victorian demon lady by Fyodor Pavlov has come back from being matted and is looking glorious
Oh my, that’s lovely! I love seeing how patrons frame and display my work in their homes.
Still sick, still in bed - hence getting some work done. More progress details of Cheeky’s doll. Fun fact: Lawrence did the silhouettes on the bra and panties, just like on the real life costume.
In more exciting book-related news, G.D. Falksen’s first novel in The Ouroboros Cycle has just hit the stores! Staying locked away in an ivory tower with Lawrence this summer, working hard on 30 illustrations for each chapter of this kickass book has paid off with this lovely volume. Go get your copy!
Sick in bed, so I’m working on a new burlesque paper doll. Cheeky Lane is a genius and her costumes are insane.
“The door opened all the way. The man in the dusty bathrobe was short, with iron-gray hair and craggy features. He wore gray pinstripe pants, shiny from age, and slippers. He held an unfiltered cigarette with square-tipped fingers, sucking the tip while keeping it cupped in his fist—like a convict, thought Shadow, or a soldier. […] His hands were rough and callused, and the tips of his fingers were as yellow as if they had been dipped in iodine.”
American Gods just gets better with a re-read. And I must admit my cultural bias.
The two together. I’ll be printing cards of them soon. I wonder if I should also do a Mrs. Hudson and/or Irene Adler…
I’m still giddy from Hotsy Totsy’s: A Study in Pink Sherlock Holmes burlesque show, and here is a John Watson.
Back in July I did a commission for the lovely Shelly the Singing Siren, and at the time she mentioned wanting to eventually have me do a portrait of her sweet little dog Zelda. Fast forward six months, and the poor little pooch had to have surgery done to replace her knee. She is recovering well, and to cheer Shelly and her husband, I decided to go ahead and paint them that portrait as a gift.
Here’s the little doodle with her stitches.
Our new dandy greeting cards by artist Fyodor Pavlov. #menswear #fineanddandyshop @fox_trotsky (at Fine and Dandy)
My Sherlock Holmes cards have already sold out on Etsy, but you can pick some up, along with your necessary purchase of a beautiful new bowtie or pocket square, at the Fine & Dandy Shop! I hear a few folks who are in town for the Baker Street Irregulars weekend have already done so - which pleases me to no end.
Alternatively, you can come to Hotsy Totsy: A Study in Pink, a Sherlock Holmes burlesque show this Tuesday for a chance to win a pack of my Sherlock Holmes cards and a pin-up boy calendar. And you know. See some hot hot ACD-inspired ass.
I don’t know why he sticks in my consciousness so much, but I think Hans has now evolved past the context of Reeperbahn and beyond all proportion. On a related note, I really enjoy 1920s-30s S&M and boot fetish porn. Some day I’ll own some samples of the real deal and not just modern reprints.
Sherlock Holmes and the other two fine gents are also available as greeting cards at the Baritarian Bazaar - good for any occasion. Or to hang over your bed, I don’t judge.
It is done! All of the above images are now available as greeting cards in the Baritarian Etsy shop! Perfect for all your naughty Valentine’s Day needs - get on it.
