This was pretty much the last piece done for senior year at university, so still recent. Open children’s book assignment for Robert Byrd. It’s an Illustration for a russian fairytale. Pretty hard to get a good scan of, but this is pretty close. I like how it came out, though it’s in a no-man’s-land as far as techniques go for me. I’m shifting towards new ways of working. This lovely artist sent me a note complimenting my work. Then I looked at her stuff and wept. So, so stunning!!
