F. Scott Fitzgerald was a positively beautiful man in any case, but damn does he know how to work drag.

There’s an explanation for this, but I forgot it.  : /

He was in the theater club at Princeton, and played a female part in one of their productions. They used these photographs to promote the play, and apparently F. Scott was so pretty and well liked, that one music hall director offered him a contract as a female impersonator in his show. Unfortunately for history, Fitzgerald declined. I think his life would have been just that little bit more incredible if he was not only an immensely talented, gorgeous, tragic, unhappy and drunk party animal writer, but if he was a drag queen on top of all that.
