200-cigarrettes asked: you know, I've been thinking that your art is great pretty much since the first time I saw it, so I was just wondering.. are you familiar with the Tarot? have you ever thought or been asked to make a Tarot deck? would you bee interested? I just thought that it would be a very beautiful deck if you do it ^^, love Koko.
People have suggested it to me many, many times. But 78 cards laden with detail and meaning are really a lifetime project. I have a beautiful deck of Russian tarot, and I think the story behind it is exemplary of the commitment required - the artist died before he finished, and another had to step in and paint the remainder of the deck based on the sketches left behind. I don’t think I’d ever have the time or the patience.
Starting to work on a really big collaborative project with Cheeky Lane and Lawrence. Follow Paper Menagerie Production on Instagram for more. The hint as to the nature of this project is in the top right corner of the first picture.
13crownsstudio:
16 NEW ARTISTS IN GHOSTBOOK!
Thanks to the unbelievable success of the GhostBook KickStarter, we were able to add more pages to the book and squeeze in 16 new artists, instead of the 5 we initially thought we could afford!
Also, we’ve been able to get a few extras made ahead of time! Here’s some shots of them. We were going to try and make a patch for a final stretch goal reward, but it’s just not able to happen, unfortunately. Though Hunter has been kind enough to thrown in a few new stickers!
There’s only 5 days left to the KickStarter!
New artists:
Hunter Bonyun | Stephan McGowan | N. Gower-Wallis | Esther Ro
Stephanie Mote | Hailey Thurott | Feyuca | Rose Wong | Cathy L.
Catherine M. Miller | Parker R.A. | Danika Catchpole | Strangely Katie
Siobhan Keenan | Katie Ryan | Tiffany T. Le
More artists! More awesome stuff! Thank you to everyone who contributed and spread the word, and in case you haven’t - there are 4 days left to do so!
I just replenished the greeting card stock over at Baritarian Bazaar. The Victorian schoolboy supply is dwindling, so get them while you still can!
sparklespook asked: Your submission for the New York Burlesque Festival contest is beautiful and perfect and engaging and I just wanted to let you know that I am utterly in love with it and hope very much it wins!

lieschenr asked: Aww! Thank for following! Your work is just flawless!
Thank you! Ваши костюмы ослепительны. Мне особенно Басмановский понравился. Я тоже разрядился в опричника на Рождество в этом году!
For the first time in its history, the New York Burlesque Festival is hosting a contest for the illustration that will be used on their posters and promotional materials this year. I’m not going to lie, I really want to win it. Really really a lot. Fingers crossed!
stagsleap asked: Will you consider making prints of your "Rudolph Ganz" work? Both my boyfriend and I would love to have it grace our walls!
I will try. The printer I use takes issue with erotica (I know, what?), but I’m hoping to sneak this one by them the next time I order a new batch of prints.
vagabondorvagrant asked: I just love, love, love, love, love, love your art. I've seen a few of your pieces around before but never with a source (grrr) but lucky someone reblogged your lovely Tom Waits' Hans and I am so very very glad to now follow you because wow
And that’s why you should source things, kids! Thank you for following! <3
kochokoi asked: Oh my goodness.. I have seen your amazing art around tumblr before, but now I can finally follow you. I am such a huge fan, your style is incredible.
Thank you so much! <3
Now accepting applications for nubile youngsters to come and massage my cramping hands, neck and back.
I’m really excited about this project, though, so even with hurting hands I couldn’t tear myself away from my desk. I won’t say what it’s for just yet, though.
I’m finally going to do it, guys. I’m going to send Stephen Fry the portrait I did of him. I wanted to bring it to London and wait for him at the stage door after Twelfth Night, and completely forgot. I just hope he gets it.
I wish you all to discover kinks you didn’t know you had.
Inspired by the gorgeous work of Felix d’Eon, and especially his most recent pieces that so cleverly incorporate vintage music score covers.
Remember how I mentioned assisting on an incredible photoshoot with Storybook Burlesque and the Gainsborough of photography, Adrian Buckmaster? Here is the result.

tylgrey asked: So I've been following you for a while, and I'm only just now working up the courage to say that I think that you are *incredible,* and such an inspiration. Your art is just gorgeous, and your costumes are beautiful... I really could spend all day appreciating your work if I could. In fact, I'm sure I have actually accidently done that on one occasion. In any case. That's all I have to say. Basically, everything you do is gorgeous and stunning, and I'm gonna go now.

Sweet babies!
