lawrencegullo:

Oh hey! Thanks a lot for going out of your way to remove my husband’s name from his art and post it on your blog without credit, scum!

To be fair, when I posted this illustration I was still very new to Tumblr and wasn’t yet putting my watermark on everything. So the poster is at least absolved of that. HOWEVER, they did not reblog the image from me, but reposted it without any mention, credit or link to my website or blog. Which is basically just as obnoxious. And before anyone starts using “well, I saw it and saved it ages ago and didn’t know where it came from” as an excuse - this is REALLY EASY TO FIX.

I guess it had to happen eventually.

I don’t know why he sticks in my consciousness so much, but I think Hans has now evolved past the context of Reeperbahn and beyond all proportion. On a related note, I really enjoy 1920s-30s S&M and boot fetish porn. Some day I’ll own some samples of the real deal and not just modern reprints.

Prints of both these illustrations are now on sale on Etsy for only $10!

The Ivan the Terrible Russian Christmas party rolled over 221B last night like an avalanche of glitter, fur and vodka shots. I think I say this every year, but it’s always true - it gets better and better each time. L. roasted a gorgeous huge goose and kept us soaking in La Neige Russe cocktails, I gorged the guests with pelmeni, borsht, homemade blinis and caviar, S. piled worn out guests in her bed. Everyone came so beautifully dressed and then undressed even more beautifully to dance to Suffra Gent’s guitar. We toasted with vodka, exchanged gifts, kissed and laughed and made the floor and walls shake with merrymaking. And now I’m picking bottles, pearls and erotic art books off the floor in between cat naps. My 2013 has started.

fattiesinlove asked: We're in love with your art. Your inking is so graceful and delicate... but we can't figure out what you're using for color. A's pretty sure your work isn't digital--is it watercolor? watercolor pencils? marker? Whatever it is, it's amazing. xoxo, E+A

Thank you! It’s ink and watercolor.

anewponine asked: Gotta say, I love your artworks, and your Basamanov reminds me of Montparnasse from Les Miserables :D I just wanted to ask, both from me and a friend of mine, if you could draw a fanart of Montparnasse and Eponine, which is one of our fave pairings... We just really love tour style, and it would be perfect for this pairing :3 THANK YOU! :D

Thank you. I’m not really in the Les Miz fandom at all and I don’t really draw requests and fanart unless I ask for them, have the free time and am in the mood. However, since art is something I do for a living you can always inquire about a commission when I open them up again.

Sherlock Holmes and the other two fine gents are also available as greeting cards at the Baritarian Bazaar - good for any occasion. Or to hang over your bed, I don’t judge.

It is done! All of the above images are now available as greeting cards in the Baritarian Etsy shop! Perfect for all your naughty Valentine’s Day needs - get on it.

New greeting cards are here! I’ll be updating the Etsy shop today or tomorrow, and then all your dirty Valentine’s and fancy dandy stationery needs will be met!

Therapy doodles. Tiny details and mindless inking are soothing. Also, tiny Mark Rylance as Olivia, which I actually doodled during the London trip after seeing Twelfth Night.

You guys. You guys. C. finished my kaftan just in time for the annual Russian Christmas party this year. The theme is Ivan IV. I’m sure you can guess how I’m dressing.

But you guys. This thing is so beautiful. I’m overwhelmed. The photos can’t do it justice. I thought nothing could beat the late 18th century suit she had made me, but this!! The choice of fabrics, the detail, the fit and shape of it. It’s perfect and I want to wear it everywhere forever.

deaf-kids-sketchbook asked: Hello! I'm a huge fan of your artwork and I decided to do a little fan-art of one of the Accursed Teaist members (if I am spelling/remembering correctly). :) Here is the link to my picture: deaf-kids-sketchbook(.)tumblr(.)com/image/39286754066

Aww, that’s lovely! La JohnJoseph is so pretty! Thank you.

phantomeus asked: So, tumblr suggested your blog to me some time ago, and I enjoyed it, thus I followed it. However, it has escaped my attention until now that you have a webcomic! I love webcomics and I am both thrilled to now know you have one and am very much enjoying reading Baritarian Boy.

Ahahaha, you probably haven’t noticed it because we haven’t updated in like… a year… Oh, the crushing guilt. But! Lawrence and I have resolved to pick it up again in 2013! Promise! I miss Baritaria and there are still so many stories to tell. Thank you for reading, and we’ll have more soon!

Welp, you guys like your naked gender-fluid boys with non-heteronormative sexualities, I tell you what.

Highly productive outing to the Antiques Garage today - a beaded sky blue Indian cap, gorgeous filigree jewelry box with a cut crystal lid and some lovely 1900s New Year’s postcards. Also, I finally saw Rise of the Guardians and oh my god. I started weeping five minutes into the movie and then didn’t stop. And I understand that everyone’s into Jack Frost and/or Pitch, and that’s fine because… well, I’m just going to say that Santa’s lap never looked so appealing.
